Ode To Uncle Trevor!

Uncle Trev is an orthopedic vet,
A Canadian moron; ya' you bet,
A wonderful visit I had,
Daddy wasn't there; too bad,
We'll be together soon; ya you bet.

(No offense intended to my new Canadian relatives. This is an inside joke!)

A first (probably not the last)

Logan's ailment/illness got a little worse over the weekend and he was a bit out of sorts. We, his loving parents, tried our best to provide comfort and care to him, but his temperature kept climbing. At 4:30a we finally received instructions from Logan's doctor that he must go to the emergency room and be seen. After insertion of an IV and a catheter for tests Logan was released to his parents and, happily, is feeling a bit better today. It looks as though he has a virus that is running its own course, but it made for some harrowing moments and a sleepless night. The picture to the left is of Shady Grove Adventist Hospital where Logan was seen. He was born at Holy Cross (Catholic) and seen at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital (Seventh Day Adventist). What next...his father working at an Episcopal school?

So Early!!

We all recognize Logan comes from a family of educated people (think of the money spent on educations...good thing the economy is so strong), but to expect him to read a Jeffery Deaver book in just a weekend at 10 weeks old is a bit much. His reaction says it all!

Which one??

Logan and cousin Isaac spent some time together in Winnipeg (along with cousin Tessa). In this photo Aunt Bobbi was trying to keep Logan and Isaac happy. One of them looks happier than the other.

Logan's Travels

Logan spent a great weekend in Winnipeg recently and saw his Bobba & Zaida, aunts & uncles, cousins and friends. Most importantly, however, was his time with his great-grandmother. Unfortunately, he returned to Washington, DC with a slight cold (the sound of a baby sniffling is heart wrenching), but hopefully we are on the tail end of his illness. Enjoy the attached photos of his trip.

And They're Off

Logan and his mother are at the airport and will soon be on their way to visit family in Winnipeg. I will miss them over the next couple of days!!

Logan's Furry Friend

We spent a wonderful night a some friends recently and Logan had his first experience with a canine (that's a dog...Trevor). To the left see a picture of Logan and Patience Funger (yes, that's really the dog's name...it is also what parents and dog lovers need). We think Logan enjoyed his time even though Patience couldn't understand how such a small boy could make such loud noises from down below.

Logan Cousteau

Logan's mother recently purchased him a floor mat where he can spend some "tummy time." The author is not quite sure why one needs "tummy time," but sure hopes they have big "tummy time" mats for those of us with big tummies! On the mat there is an octopus that Logan just can't keep his eyes off of. The photo to the left shows his admiration of the cephalopod mollusk (that's an octopus for those of you not verse in marine terminology). There is also a video attached where you can hear young Logan Cousteau communicating with the sea animals (his mother serves as the narrator).

Are You Ready For Some Football

Logan and his parents are watching the opening NFL game of the year. Even though Logan's British friends, Christian and Dorothy, think football is played with a spherical ball, Logan knows the correct shape of the ball is oblong. To the left notice the ferociousness in Logan's eyes.

Prepare to Come Aboard

Logan and his parents went over to some friends' house for dinner the other night and he decided to dress up for the occasion. In the picture to the left notice his excitement. Also notice the matching chapeau (that's hat in French) and little bear in his right pocket wearing a matching outfit. We are sure Zaida Bill has a similar outfit in Clearwater Bay.
