A Non-Event

We have had 4 ear infections, a trip to the ER, installed baby gates and celebrated Logan's first birthday, but this past Sunday we celebrated a true milestone. Logan's hair had reached a length where it was perpetually greasy and getting into his eyes (an issue his father does not have). His mother and father made the bold decision to schedule his first haircut at the Yellow Balloon barbershop. Logan's father was worried that Logan may not sit still while the barber was chopping his locks, but fortunately this was not the case. Logan sat still on his mother's lap and quite enjoyed all the attention he received. The attached pictures document the experience and then show the final product while sitting on his father's lap near the fountain at the Hirschhorn Art Museum on the National Mall in Washington, DC.

Let Them Eat Cake

In my last posts I was neglectful by not mentioning that whilst in Minneapolis Logan and his parents helped Gramps celebrate his birthday. Some say Marie Antoinette proclaimed, "Let Them Eat Cake" just prior to the French Revolution upon hearing the peasantry had no bread to eat. Gramps, however, said "Let Them Eat Blintz Souffle'" at our celebratory breakfast. Happy birthday Gramps!
