Last Group of Pictures

More Photos

Been A Long Time (Two)

We know we have not been wonderful with updating the blog, but some say absence makes the heart grow fonder. Since the last update Logan has traveled to and from MN and to and from Ottawa. Too bad he does not have his own seat as he would be close to a free ticket with the mileage he has flown. With this (and the following two) post the reader will find some pictures of Logan's (and his parents) time in MN for Thanksgiving. It was great seeing old (not just age-wise) friends and allowing Logan to meet those who are important to his family.

My Mother's Rhythm

Logan danced for the first time tonight (with some parental physical and Led Zeppelin musical assistance). Looks like he has his mother's gift of rhythm and beat! Meagan is in the background admiring Logan's moves.

What A Hard Life!!!

Here are some photos of Logan enjoying time with his grandparents and "hanging out." He enjoyed his Bobba and Zaida's visit and looks forward to seeing them in Florida this winter (at a yet to be determined time). Please notice Logan has found his hands and is now spending quality time with his middle two fingers of his right hand or left thumb in his mouth. He even, at times, uses his other hand to make sure his fingers stay in his mouth (note the photo). His father still hopes he has a future as a left handed quarterback or pitcher...it is okay to dream, isn't it?!

Bobba and Zaida's Great Adventure

Logan's Winnipeg grandparents annually make a circuitous journey from the tundra (Winnipeg) to their salt-water home in Boynton Beach, FL. On the way they visit children and grandchildren in Minneapolis, Ottawa and Washington, DC. While in DC they spent wonderful quality time with Logan and his parents. We were even able to visit the C & O Canal spot where we were engaged on November 11, 2006 (there is no way the author would forget getting engaged on Rememberance Day...could he?). Enjoy the photos.

Election Results!

Logan was reading the paper with his mother on Wednesday, November 5 and was excited by what her read regarding the impending change in US governmental leadership (yes Trevor, there was an election recently).

Dancing King

Logan received a wonderful new gift from his Bobba and Zaida who recently visited on their way to Florida. Logan LOVES his new Jolly Jumper. Enjoy the short video.

What a Night

Logan was plum tuckered out after trick-or-treating with his bounty strewn around him.

There is a Bat Among Us

Logan and his parents celebrated his first Halloween. Logan was alert and smiling in his costume until we exited the house where he immediately fell asleep (it is the fresh air). His parents did their best to fill his pumpkin with copious amounts of sweets and of course they will keep it all safe until he is able to consume it (wink, wink). Notice Logan's first political picture (taken in our front yard...hint, hint). The cat, with the bat, was a gift from Logan's G-Ma...she doesn't remember sending it.

Morning Routine

Logan and his mother have a morning routine that includes both of them preparing for the .75 of a mile walk to daycare (Kidstop) around 7:15a. The weather has began to turn and Logan is ready for the snow to fly.

Bouncy Seat

Some of Logan's happiest moments are while he is in his bouncy seat (Fisher Price jungle scene). Here he is smiling for the camera. Thanks for the sweater cousin Isaac.

Been A Long Time

We are sorry it has been a while since the last post. Please bear with us as we will post a few new ones today.

Logan visited the doctor last week for his expected 4 month check up:
- 13.1 pounds
- 24.5 inches
- smiled before and after inoculations (yes, there were tears, but I told Judith she would get a piece of candy afterwards if she was good)

How Should I Spend Sunday?

Usually Logan has an easy time deciding what to do (sleep, eat or poop). This past Sunday, however, he chose to do something else and his mother got a great video clip. Enjoy!

Happy New Year

Some hire limousines and go out for luxurious meals, some pop the top of expensive champagne bottles, we got dressed up and headed for our new synagogue (http://www.whctemple.org/). The attached pictures show us dressed and ready to usher in the year 5769. MSS- please notice Logan's dusty bucks sent to us from aunt Carole.

Happy Boy!!

Logan has been going to daycare for almost a month. Originally we had reservations, but his excitement to go one recent morning has allayed many of our fears.

Riding the Metro

Logan, Judith and I headed to Bethesda recently to partake in the Taste of Bethesda. Even though only two of us could actively participate in the gustatory delights all three of us rode the Metro from our house. This was Logan's first time on the metro and he thoroughly enjoyed the ride.

Ode To Uncle Trevor!

Uncle Trev is an orthopedic vet,
A Canadian moron; ya' you bet,
A wonderful visit I had,
Daddy wasn't there; too bad,
We'll be together soon; ya you bet.

(No offense intended to my new Canadian relatives. This is an inside joke!)

A first (probably not the last)

Logan's ailment/illness got a little worse over the weekend and he was a bit out of sorts. We, his loving parents, tried our best to provide comfort and care to him, but his temperature kept climbing. At 4:30a we finally received instructions from Logan's doctor that he must go to the emergency room and be seen. After insertion of an IV and a catheter for tests Logan was released to his parents and, happily, is feeling a bit better today. It looks as though he has a virus that is running its own course, but it made for some harrowing moments and a sleepless night. The picture to the left is of Shady Grove Adventist Hospital where Logan was seen. He was born at Holy Cross (Catholic) and seen at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital (Seventh Day Adventist). What next...his father working at an Episcopal school?

So Early!!

We all recognize Logan comes from a family of educated people (think of the money spent on educations...good thing the economy is so strong), but to expect him to read a Jeffery Deaver book in just a weekend at 10 weeks old is a bit much. His reaction says it all!

Which one??

Logan and cousin Isaac spent some time together in Winnipeg (along with cousin Tessa). In this photo Aunt Bobbi was trying to keep Logan and Isaac happy. One of them looks happier than the other.

Logan's Travels

Logan spent a great weekend in Winnipeg recently and saw his Bobba & Zaida, aunts & uncles, cousins and friends. Most importantly, however, was his time with his great-grandmother. Unfortunately, he returned to Washington, DC with a slight cold (the sound of a baby sniffling is heart wrenching), but hopefully we are on the tail end of his illness. Enjoy the attached photos of his trip.

And They're Off

Logan and his mother are at the airport and will soon be on their way to visit family in Winnipeg. I will miss them over the next couple of days!!

Logan's Furry Friend

We spent a wonderful night a some friends recently and Logan had his first experience with a canine (that's a dog...Trevor). To the left see a picture of Logan and Patience Funger (yes, that's really the dog's name...it is also what parents and dog lovers need). We think Logan enjoyed his time even though Patience couldn't understand how such a small boy could make such loud noises from down below.
